Sharjah Light Festival

Last weekend Angel and I drove to the East Coast to see parts of the Sharjah Light Festival in Khorfakkan and Kalba. This year the festival runs from 7th to 15th Feb, and these two venues have been added to the list of locations across the Emirate for the first time, so we were really keen on checking them out.

It was such a fine day; the clouds seemed to have joined in the festivities, we enjoyed the drive as well as the dramatic cloud formations along the way.

We arrived in Khourfakkan just after the sunset; it was a wise decision to head there this year, as we were able to enjoy the show with a small crowd away from the mayhem of the big city.

Later we drove to the City of Kalba, to watch the show projected on the building of The Sharjah University.

We got home late and really tired that night, but it was truly great fun.
